Trump plans to meet with Putin one-on-one, without aides

President Donald Trump will drill down on Russia's "malign activity" during summits with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies and President Vladimir Putin, U.S. officials said on Thursday, signaling a harder line against Moscow than Trump has traditionally taken.

The press center for reporters accredited for the forthcoming summit meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Helsinki will be located in the downtown Finlandia Hall palace of congresses, the Finnish Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday as it announced the opening of accreditations for the summit.

This will be the first time the two have met for a formal summit.

Jon Huntsman Jr., U.S. ambassador to Russian Federation, said U.S. officials have repeatedly confronted Russian Federation about election hacking and said Trump wants to improve relations, but won't let Putin off the hook.

The summit also will include a bilateral meeting and a working lunch between Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin.

Defense Partnership With Embraer Will Test Brazil's Boeing Appetite
Boeing will pay $3.8 billion for its stake in the venture - a valuation that prompted Embraer investors to look for the exits. The commercial venture will be run by a Brazil-based CEO and management team, while Muilenburg will have ultimate control.

Mr. Trump's political opponents in the USA will be looking for any sign that the president goes easy on Mr. Putin, which they would say bolster allegations of Trump campaign collusion with Moscow to hack the 2016 presidential election.

Mr. Huntsman said the US has repeatedly confronted Russian Federation about the election hacking, despite Mr. Trump frequently diminishing the issue and repeating Mr. Putin's own denials of meddling.

"There is nothing being said at all about the troop alignment in Germany or anything that would change the 32,000 troop force that we have in Germany", said a senior administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

He added that Trump hopes the meeting "can help reduce tensions and lead to constructive engagement that improves peace and security around the world because you can't solve problems if you're not talking about them", but said: "the ball really is in Russia's court".

"Will I be prepared?" "Trust me, we'll do just fine... and I might even end up having a good relationship".
