Alleged Dealer In Demi Lovato Overdose Reportedly Has An Arrest Record

Brandon Johnson is the man suspected of providing Demi Lovato, 25, with the drugs, in which she allegedly overdosed on, as reported by TMZ. He was also arrested in June and charged with DUI and possession of cocaine.

In March, Johnson was arrested after being found with narcotics, $10,000 in cash, and a semi-automatic loaded gun on his person without a permit.

Sources told the news outlet that Johnson and Lovato had been in contact since April. Allegedly, Lovato left a celebration and texted her dealer at 4 AM to come over.

We're told the D.A. has not charged him yet for the March arrest.

Officers then searched Johnson's home and say they discovered more guns, drugs and ammo. The pills were reportedly laced with fentanyl, the same drug that killed Prince and 2016 and rapper Lil Peep in 2017.

TMZ previously reported that Demi texted her alleged drug dealer on the night of July 24, to which he came to her home and the two of them allegedly freebased Oxycodone on tin foil.

The dealer allegedly fled the scene when he noticed that the "Sorry Not Sorry" hitmaker was breathing heavily in bed and it wasn't until 11:30 the next morning that her staff found her unconscious.

Insiders say that Johnson has been telling his friends that he and Lovato were in a "romantic relationship", but other sources say there is nothing romantic going on between the two.

Paramedics were called to Demi's home immediately and Narcan - a medication used to block the effects of opioids, especially in overdose - was administered. The 25-year-old singer was hospitalized for almost two weeks.

She was then rushed to hospital and spent two weeks there recovering, during which time she suffered severe complications, before she checked herself into rehab.

Just before she returned to rehab, she sent a message on Instagram to her fans to thank everybody for their support. TMZ reports that Lovato has elected to go to a treatment center for the indefinite future, and has limited contact with even her closest friends.

"I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet", Lovato wrote in part of a lengthy note.
