FX Says Marvel Canceled Donald Glover's Deadpool Series

"Marvel controls the IP and the decisions around the IP.it was their decision not to go forward with Donald and Stephen's version, I personally liked it.", he told Deadline. Now, however, a more definitive reason may have been revealed.

Speaking to reporters during the Television Critics Association press tour, FX CEO John Landgraf said he believes Marvel will return to the idea of a Deadpool animated series sooner or later. "I think a lot of it comes down to the women stepping up across society, and their voices are being heard that were suppressed for so long".

Maybe one day we will have the wonderful combo of Deadpool and Donald Glover but it doesn't look like it will be for a while yet. "They didn't want to do the show that Donald and Stephen [Glover] wrote". When Marvel decided not to do that show, we parted company with them as did Donald and Stephen. "Now it's totally up to them [Marvel] whether they hire someone else to do a different show". After the success of Atlanta on FX, the network agreed with Glover to work on the Deadpool animated show.

Thai cave boys leave buddhist monastery after getting ordained
Most of the Thai boys rescued from a flooded cave have returned home after spending time in a Buddhist monastery as novice monks. The 12th member of the Wild Boars football team did not go through the religious ritual as he is not Buddhist.

Turns out that Marvel put a stop to the upcoming series which was written by Donald and his brother Stephen because they didn't like the script put forward.

The animated Deadpool series was set to premiere on FXX this year.
