Google Play Store Now Tells You It Doesn't Have Fortnite

The beta version of the battle royale game is live now for Samsung flagship owners, and will likely see a wider release next week.

Malicious developers have already been targeting Android users looking to download Fortnite. While a version for Android was in the works, malware creators preyed on those Android users looking for a game that, unbeknownst to them, had yet to be released for their device. For the time being, Google is just trying to make sure you don't end up downloading something that just looks like Fortnite in the Play Store. That's easy to do if you're a Fortnite fan with an iOS device. It's a big pie for Epic games, which has made over $1 Billion in revenue from in-app Fortnite purchases (for both PC and mobile ) by the start of this month. However, for Android users, that won't be an option. Additionally, to download files outside of Play Store requires users to tinker around with security permissions.

New video shows the advantages of the famous Fortnite game on Android phones

When Epic Games launched Fortnite on Android earlier this week, it did so in an unprecedented manner. In just one year, it's amassed 125 million players including celebrities like Drake, Joe Jonas, Finn Wolfhard, and even Roseanne Barr. You'll need to Unlock Bootloader and Install TWRP Custom Recovery in-order to Install the AOSP Custom ROM based on Android 9.0 Pie on Nexus 5x Bullhead. Following Fortnite's success on Android other game developers will also follow suit. Epic will also offer downloads of the game on its website in the coming days for most Android smartphones.

Samsung's exclusive rights to the Fortnite for Android beta will expire on August 13, after which the beta will open to dozens of more Android devices.
