Lyric McHenry Dead - Reality Star Dies Hours After Celebrating 26th Birthday

Reality star Lyric McHenry was found dead after an East Coast birthday celebration.

She is mostly known for producing and appearing in her best friend EJ Johnson's reality series, EJNYC, back in 2016. She was found unresponsive on the sidewalk above the Major Deegan Expressway at Undercliff Ave. and Boscobel Place in Highbridge in the Bronx borough of New York City.

Authorities are investigating whether she was dumped at the desolate location.

McHenry, who was 20 weeks pregnant, had visible bruises on her knees. However, no other injuries or cuts were reportedly found on her body.

Police sources said some cocaine was also found on her. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Lyric's mother Jennifer had posted a sweet birthday message for her daughter last week on Instagram, writing, "Happy 26 years my attractive princess Lyric Leigh". McHenry, who turned 26 on August 6, posted photos and videos from a night out at Frederick Hotel, the SoHo Grand, and Dream Downtown in lower Manhattan. The show lasted one season on E!

In several Instagram Stories posted late Monday evening, Lyric documented her night out in the Big Apple.

Before her stint on television, McHenry was a Ron Brown scholar at Stanford University and worked on Barack Obama's presidential campaign when she was just 15 years old.

She went on to work as an agent trainee at UTA before moving on to jobs in video production at Complex Networks and Refinery29.
