Dwayne Johnson's Stunt Double — and Cousin — Cries as He Receives Surprise Gift from Star

Tanoai Reed - who is also the cousin of The Rock - has been working as Johnson's stunt double since The Scorpion King in 2002, and it seems like he's quite literally put his body on the line for the actor over the years. And in the caption of the video, Dwayne shared that Tanoai is incredibly committed to his craft. On the other hand, Reed has spent his whole career jumping off buildings, crashing cars, being set on fire and getting hit in the face for Johnson, so he probably does deserve a bit of gratitude.

"When I saw him, I was like, 'Oh, my God!" They look more like brothers than coworkers, and Johnson's act of kindness is more like an act of brotherly love.

'The truth is, he's been an incredible partner and brother to me, ' Johnson said.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has had a hell of a film career, cementing his reputation as one of the industry's most bankable actors around with films like The Fate of the Furious, San Andreas and, most recently, Skyscraper.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson gifted his longtime stunt double and his cousin, Tanoai Reed, with a brand new truck and it was all caught on video. "All done with one goal in mind - deliver the best movie possible to the world".

However, just as they began chatting, Johnson surprised him with his new truck, leaving Tanoai, who is now recovering from a stunt injury, gobsmacked and emotional.

Reed, who is still recovering from his latest injury, "represent [s] our family and my career with relentless commitment and passion", Johnson writes. He also represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our business'.
