Sources tell Variety that Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell have been tapped to join Robbie in the comic-book spinoff, with Winstead playing Huntress and Smollett-Bell portraying Black Canary.

In the comics, Helena Bertinelli is the daughter of the Bertinelli Mafia family, one of Gotham's leading crime families.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell has been acting since she was a child - one of her earliest roles was as Michelle Tanner's friend, Denise, on Full House. Cassandra Cain has also not been cast but will likely be an unknown, as the character is meant to be twelve years old. Birds Of Prey is scheduled for release on February 7, 2020. The film stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and fans can't wait to see the gorgeous actress suited up in her costume again. Christrina Hodson will be scripting that as well, after Joss Whedon backed out.

I wish I could say that I was surprised, but after seeing Anna Diop - who is about to be the best part of Titans, mark my words y'all - bullied off of social media because the show had the audacity to cast a black woman rather than a real life orange alien as Starfire, nothing much really surprises me.
