Washington D.C., Sep 25: Lady Gaga has revealed being bullied in high school helped her with the role in the upcoming musical drama "A Star Is Born". "He's such a wonderful person".

In an interview with People magazine at the movie's Los Angeles premiere on Monday (24Sep18) the first-time director credited Gaga with encouraging him to sing in the movie.

Talking about their friendship, Cooper reportedly said, "I made a friend for life". "She's right! [Singing live] was terrifying, and I really relied on her", he said.

"The next thing I know after I'm eating pasta, we're singing in her living room" he said.

"A Star Is Born" was premiered globally at the 75th Venice International Film Festival in August 2018.

She further added that she met him even before the filming began, and how she shared her leftovers with the actor, who arrived at her home.

The movie features Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, Sam Elliott, Andrew Dice Clay and Dave Chappelle.

The pair's hotly anticipated musical romantic drama A Star Is Born (also featuring Cooper's adorable puppy) hits theaters October 5.
