Unai Emery wants more from Mesut Ozil as the Arsenal head coach warned the German he needs to play wherever necessary.

Global retirement following Germany's World Cup exit has also contributed towards a turbulent spell for Ozil but, as Cardiff prepare to host Arsenal on Sunday, Warnock has backed him to turn things around.

"Our demands are very high, very great, but I want to ask every player, every day, to give us more", Emery said. I like in my life, more of that.

"I watch Arsenal play and I seriously think it's a charity match", he said on Sky Sports.

Playing in their first European campaign in half a century, Burnley ran out of juice Thursday as they bowed out in their Europa League qualifier against Olympiakos while Rangers and Celtic both advanced.

Emery also hopes Arsenal can improve their "balance" against Cardiff, having looked defensively unsound at times in their previous matches.

"He's training normally with the club every session this week", Emery said.

Now, Ozil is back, and he is fit and ready to play against Cardiff City.

Arsenal discovered their Europa League fate moments before Emery's press conference to preview the Cardiff game.

They claim that talk of a row is "unfounded" and he was sent home twice by an Arsenal team doctor in the build-up to their Premier League showdown.

The Gunners have been drawn with Sporting Lisbon, Ukrainian side Vorskla and Azeri champions Qarabag in Group E.

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech appears to be Emery's favoured option between the sticks right now and while his distribution with the ball may be suspect, he's done very little to warrant losing his place so I expect we'll see Bernd Leno on the bench once again on Sunday.

Each match is different and each match involves a lot of travel.
