Trump Orders Declassification Of Documents In Russia Investigation

The relevant documents are the FBI's application to obtain a surveillance warrant against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, all FBI interviews prepared about the Page surveillance applications, and all interviews the FBI conducted with Ohr about the Russian Federation investigation. Strzok has come under fire for sending texts disparaging Trump as a presidential candidate. McCabe was sacked in March by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Watters said the documents could show proof of "political persecution" of President Trump and his allies.

Trump also ordered the department to declassify interviews with Justice Department official Bruce G. Ohr, who worked in the deputy attorney general's office and had conversations with the author of a controversial dossier alleging ties between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.

Trump made a similar move in February when the White House, over the objections of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and intelligence community, cleared the way for the Republican-led House intelligence committee to release a partisan memo about the surveillance warrant on Page.

As was in case of SBI , no employee of the three banks would have service conditions that are adverse to their present one. Jaitley said the merger would create a sustainable mega-bank which would be third largest in the country.

"President Trump, in a clear abuse of power, has chose to intervene in a pending law enforcement investigation by ordering the selective release of materials he believes are helpful to his defense team and thinks will advance a false narrative", Rep. It is also possible that the material will be released piecemeal.

Republican Representative Matt Gaetz praised the directive. The June 2017 application was the last of four filed by the Justice Department in support of FISA court orders allowing the monitoring of Page for almost a year.

"This has been a long time in coming", Jesse Watters said, adding that people have been asking for the release of these documents for a year or more. All four applications were approved. The president also demanded the public release of text messages exchanged by former FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, whose texts have provided regular fodder for Fox News and congressional Republicans intent of undermining special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
