Fans face rain to greet Prince Harry and Meghan in Melbourne

Thousands of royal fans in Melbourne waited in the rain on Thursday to get a glimpse of Prince Harry and his pregnant wife Meghan, with some overwhelmed by the experience.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019", a statement from Kensington Palace announced.

The lights went out and both Harry and Meghan pressed the buttons to launch their cars along the state dining room table.

While visiting the community, Meghan helped feed some cows and joined a local family for lunch, bringing along her own freshly baked banana bread. "She's made for this royal business, isn't she?"

Everybody just needs to shut the heck up and let this be a great thing for them, for the world, for the family and that's where I'm at.

Heading to Melbourne with her husband Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex opted for a classic navy dress with stiletto heels, a look we've seen her in a number of times before.

Katy Payne, a mother from IL , who was interviewed, said about her daughter: "I took her to the ER because she turned blue". Messonnier called it a "pretty dramatic disease". "At this time, the exact causes or source of this disease is unknown".

While recent wet weather has brought short-term relief, many more days and weeks of rain are needed to offset the effects of one of the driest years on record.

"You are all in this together and, if I may speak personally, we are all in this together", Harry said.

Drought relief charity Drought Angels director Natasha Johnston commended the couple for their empathy.

"I'm not sure I will be good", she said, before giving it a go.

Harry and Meghan's royal tour of Australia took in a visit to a struggling, drought-stricken farming area of New South Wales Wednesday, after stopping by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) - a lifeline for many in the vast, rural areas the state - to unveil a new aircraft.

The main focus of the tour is the Invictus Games, which start in Sydney on Saturday.
