MacIntyre led Colorado to 10 wins and a Pac-12 championship game berth in 2016 while earning national coach of the year honors.

Colorado's Mike MacIntyre has been informed by school officials that he will not be retained next season as the Buffaloes' head coach, sources told ESPN. Colorado has since confirmed this news. It was only five days ago that Colorado athletic director Rick George said he "had made no decision" on the future of the program. "However, analyzing the direction of the program over the last two years, I felt this is the necessary time to make a change".

A major college football head coach has been fired this morning. The buyout will be paid off in monthly payments for the next three years, according to the release from Colorado.

With Utah's win over Colorado, and Oregon's win over Arizona State on Saturday, the Utes clinched the Pac-12 South Division title and a spot in the Pac-12 Championship game.
