Dwight Howard of Washington Wizards facing surgery

Washington Wizards center Dwight Howard is slated to undergo surgery after consulting with specialists in the L.A. area, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Howard aggravated the injury in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers on November 18. The Athletic's Shams Charania revealed today that Howard will undergo surgery on L4/L5 discs in his spine on Friday and the hope is that he'll return within eight weeks.

Howard has averaged 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds while nursing a sore piriformis muscle in his buttocks that has caused enormous pain when the eight-time All-Star tries to sit.

Blade Runner animated series coming to Adult Swim
Adult Swim will maintain worldwide distribution rights for the English dubbed version of the series, excluding Asia. Production IG's Mitsuhisa Ishikawa is participating as production adviser.

The Wizards are Howard's fourth team in the past four seasons and sixth overall in his National Basketball Association career.

Howard, 32, has appeared in just nine games for the Wizards on the season after signing a two-year, $11 million deal with the organization in free agency over the summer.

The Wizards have struggled this season, going 8-13 and failing to find any consistency.
