A spokeswoman says state law enforcement officials in Florida have not launched any elections-fraud allegations.

To make sure that votes aren't being invented or destroyed to effect an outcome, one of the first priorities of any election supervisor is to announce how many ballots are in possession and how many remain to be counted.

Scott, who yesterday sued two South Florida election supervisors, vowed to meet Nelson's challenge in court. To fail to do this, as the Broward County and Palm Beach County Supervisors had, is to open themselves up to the accusation of massive vote fraud. President Trump, following the Scott's press conference tweetedm (bottom inset) 'Law Enforcement is looking into another big corruption scandal having to do with Election Fraud in Broward and Palm Beach. If the margin in a statewide race is less than 0.5 percent, Secretary of State Ken Detzner, is required to order a machine recount.

"This is a clear violation of Florida law", Scott said.

"At the end of the day, when all eligible voters have their votes counted and counted accurately, the fundamental truth that we're going to learn is that more voters voted for Sen".

Nelson's lawyer predicted the recounts would benefit other Democratic candidates as well as the incumbent senator. Bill Nelson. Scott declared victory in Tuesday's election, but Nelson has not conceded and ballot-counting continues.

The governor's race may also face a recount.

"You mean they are just now finding votes in Florida and Georgia - but the Election was on Tuesday?"

According to the lawsuit, in 2012 and 2016, 1 percent of all vote-by-mail ballots were rejected as illegal.

Earlier Friday, Nelson lawyer Marc Elias criticized Scott for suggesting that he might get the state government involved.

"Right now the results are unknown, as to who has won", he said.

Trump insults reporters, claims Acosta video wasn't altered
In fact, she asked the most pertinent question of the day. "This president seems not to like it, so therefore I'm a loser". Acosta asked very few actual questions during his exchange with Trump. "Sanders lied", the network said in a statement .

Protesters held signs that said, "Brenda Snipes has to go", "stop creating votes" and "don't steal our election".

Both Florida and Georgia were preparing for ballot recounts on Friday, as contentious races for the US Senate and state governorships descended into controversy amid Republicans' accusations of Democratic vote tampering, and counter-questions about potentially confusing ballot papers.

On Friday, West Palm Beach Circuit Court Judge Krista Marx granted an injunction ordering Bucher to submit "over-voted" and "under-voted" absentee ballots to the Palm Beach County Canvassing Board for public review of each vote before they are counted.

The fight over the November 7, 2000 presidential election in Florida went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Bill Nelson seems to be headed toward triggering a mandatory recount.

Mr Kemp now leads at 50.3% to Abrams' 48.7%, according to AP data, but it could take until next week to tally all the votes.

Sarah Revell, a spokeswoman for the Florida Department of State, said she didn't know of any other recount in a governor or Senate race in state history.

Many networks called Florida's Senate and Governor seats for Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis late Tuesday night.

Scott's campaign manager Jackie Schutz Zeckman shot back: "They aim to disenfranchise law abiding Florida voters by producing ballots out of thin air until they have enough to win".

Mr DeSantis is now leading by 36,000 votes.

Except this time, instead of one nationally important race, at least three crucial contests must be tallied again in the state's 67 counties.
