How much money does the victor of Tiger vs. Phil make?

The lucrative head-to-head showdown between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson was struggling to live up to the hype as both players failed to find their best form over the front nine at Shadow Creek.

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson swapped multiple $100,000 side bets during their $9 million winner-take-all Match Friday in Las Vegas.

Woods promptly urged his rival to double the bet, which Mickelson agreed to.

On the first hole, Woods had a chance for a birdie of his own on a putt but didn't nail it. That's how good I feel heading into this match.

These side bets were made for charity purposes, so Tiger will give the $200,000 to the foundation of his choice.

India loses to England in semi-final
Mithali, who suffered a knee injury against Ireland, was rested for India's final group game versus Australia last week. I think we are a young team and we still need to work on our mental strength.

Mickelson made it clear to Woods that he didn't have to accept, but the 14-time major champion said: "So you think you can make birdie on the first hole?"

Mickelson did not, in fact, birdie the hole.

Phil didn't completely botch the hole - he had a ideal opportunity to win the bet. but when he hit the putt that woulda given him the birdy, it stopped short.

The live event is now being broadcast on PPV for $19.99 via B/R Live.
