Jadon Sancho's impact at just 18 is "something special", Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre said.

Sancho has starred for the Bundesliga leaders this season, scoring five goals and assisting eight in 14 games in all competitions.

The 18-year old just signed a new deal with Dortmund last month which does not include a buyout clause - implying Dortmund can slam any price tag of their choice on him.

That form saw him handed his maiden England cap in the UEFA Nations League draw with Croatia, with players past and present tipping him to be a fixture in "Three Lions" squads for years to come.

If an attacking shake-up is to happen, Sancho for Sanchez seems a wise move for the Red Devils that could sort out their issues in that area for the next decade or more if the former City teen ends up fulfilling his clearly big potential.

Dortmund manager Lucien Favre did not directly address the reports at his press conference on Thursday but was full of praise for his prized youngster.

"Of course he has a lot of potential".

Press reports on Wednesday linked the Parisians with a big-money move for the England worldwide, though "Sky Sports" insist that the youngster will be going nowhere.

"At the age of 18, that's something special, you don't see it very often".

Favre added: 'He knows that he still has to improve.

After nine games of the 2018/19 season, Dortmund are top of the Bundesliga, with 21 points, two clear of second-placed Bayern Munich.
