LaMelo Ball is returning to play basketball in the high school ranks, his boisterous father LaVar Ball announced on Tuesday.

"I've chose to return to highschool and complete my senior year", LaMelo Ball wrote. I think it helped my development. Then it was LaMelo Ball withdrawing from Chino Hills HS to be homeschooled. He spent last season with BC Vytautas Prienai in Lithuania, but now he's excited to return home to the states.

Unfortunately, it might be too late for LaMelo, who will be playing hoops in Ohio.

Dodgers GM bolts for Giants as arch rivalry takes new twist
The Giants have replaced general manager Bobby Evans - who was sacked weeks ago - with Farhan Zaidi, the Giants have announced. The Giants did not have a general manager present when the GM meetings began here at the Omni La Costa Resort on Tuesday.

Ball will be joining Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, a prep school, per SLAM, that will face off against some of the top prep schools in the country this season, giving Ball a chance to show scouts his skills against the best prospects in the country. GEICO Nationals hopefuls like La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) and St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.) are both on the schedule in November and may not want a blemish on their resume against a team with a professional on the roster. In his last JBA International Tour game against the London Lions, the now 6-7 point guard posted a 41-point triple-double (17 assists and 13 rebounds).

Ball made the news official on Twitter saying he's also looking "forward to earning my high school diploma and winning with my new team!"

As a sophomore at Chino Hills, Ball averaged almost 27 points and 10 assists per game and famously authored a 92-point performance.
