"It was a phony story".

He assured his followers that he and Pence remained exceptionally close, despite reports that Trump might replace his vice president on the 2020 ticket.

The article, published Friday, reported that Trump has repeatedly asked aides and advisers about Pence's loyalty to the point that it has "alarmed" advisers.

Some Trump advisers, primarily outside the White House, have suggested to him that while Mr. Pence remains loyal, he may have used up his utility.

The advisers who floated the idea reportedly believe that Trump ought to select a vice presidential candidate who appeals to female voters - a demographic with which Trump struggles to appeal to - despite his claims that he is already "doing well with women".

"We had a good laugh", said Pence.

Former Southampton and Everton boss Koeman said: "This was a complete match at the very highest level". "I also did not expect that this team would be as far in their reading of a match.

"Mike Pence is 100 percent, not even a doubt of it in my mind, he's a trooper".

Trump also said the outlet "never called me for a comment".

Trump has reportedly been taking the loss of the House poorly, sulking at the prospect of diminished power and the Democrats' soon-to-be-acquired ability to launch investigations into his taxes, business connections, and ties to Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation.

White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley brushed off the rumours, saying that Trump "absolutely supports the vice president".

During a press conference following the November 6 midterm elections, he asked Pence if he'd be his running mate in 2020. Trump asked Pence, who stood up and nodded.

"Thank you", Trump said. "OK, good", the president said.
