Yash Raj Films' action adventure Thugs of Hindostan crashed out on the first weekday post the festive Diwali weekend, making Rs 5 crore on Monday, a 70% drop from Sunday and an 82% drop as compared to Friday. Helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Thugs Of Hindostan is bankrolled by Aditya Chopra under the banners of Yash Raj Films. According to the report of Box Office India, the movie made 28.25 and 22.75 crores the 2nd day and 3rd day respectively and however, with the decline in business each day the movie has collectively made 101.75 crores. Meanwhile, majority of critics have also given thumbs down to the film.

Despite being the biggest opener of 2018 by raking in Rs 52 crore (including Tamil and Telugu-dubbed versions) on its opening day, the numbers at the box office are deteriorating with each passing day.

Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra Preparing For Their Indian Palace Wedding!

Talking about the audience reaction to the extravaganza, trade analyst taran Adarsh said, "Moviegoers are extremely ruthless and in no mood to splurge on movies they hear is substandard". In this era of social media, the word of mouth spreads faster than fire and can make or break a movie within hours. Yeh public hain, yeh sab jaanti hain. The makers call it a visual spectacle as the film is made on a huge budget. The film recorded the third highest advance booking at around Rs 27.50 crore on its first day. After a superb opening at the ticket window, the film is on downward spiral. The star-studded film was released on November 8, a day after Diwali as a surprise gift for fans.

Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan entered the 100 crore club but it doesn't have much to boast about since it has consistently seen downfall from the second day of release.
