This is good news if you're feeling a little extra exhausted these days; you'll be treated to an extra hour of sleep this weekend! Hey, we're not here to judge how you use your time.

On the bright side, the sun will also be rising an hour earlier.

Before hitting the sack tonight, don't forget that 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, is when we officially "fall back" and gain an hour of sleep.

Regardless of daylight saving time, we will continue to steadily losing daylight as we head towards the winter solstice. But the possibilities for what you can do with that extra hour are endless. If we didn't set our clocks back, sunrise wouldn't be until 8:30 a.m.in many places.

The Fair Labor Standards Act requires that overtime-eligible employees must be credited with and paid for all hours actually worked, even on nights where there is an additional hour in their usual shift. Dozens of other countries now observe some form of daylight saving as well. Americans will give it back by "springing forward" - and turning ahead their clock - one hour next March 10.
