On Thursday, the National Basketball Association announced it would fine Khloe Kardashian's boyfriend $15,000 for "making an inappropriate gesture toward a spectator", stemming from an incident that occurred during the Cavaliers' Monday game against the Nets in Brooklyn.

The fine comes after TMZ shared a video of the basketball star giving the finger to court side spectators at the Brooklyn Nets' Barclays Center in NYC.

Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson (13) shoots beside Houston Rockets guard James Harden (13) in the third quarter at Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH, USA, Nov 24, 2018.

It appears that the panic began when someone in the club sprayed a "irritant substance", the civil protection agency tweeted. A further 120 people were injured, including around 10 seriously, local media reported, citing local rescue authorities.

During the game, Thompson scored 19 points, had 14 rebounds and successfully defended Nets' Spencer Dinwiddie's three-point attempt to win the game at the buzzer. They face the Sacramento Kings in the early hours on Saturday morning.
