Dhoni returns to T20 squad for New Zealand series

"After returning from Australia post the Test series, Rishabh Pant will play for India A in the five-match one-day series at home against England Lions", the BCCI release said.

The selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India also announced full strength squads for the one-day worldwide series against Australia and New Zealand. Pandey was on the bench for all five ODIs against West Indies, and didn't get a chance in the T20I series in Australia.

In more spinning of the wicketkeeping carousel, Dinesh Karthik is back in the ODI squads for Australia and New Zealand, replacing Rishabh Pant.

After having rotated their players in the previous limited over matches, the Indian management will be playing their strongest suit in the series against Australia and New Zealand. Thus, in the series against Australia and New Zealand, BCCI is least expected to throw us some surprise inclusions or some surprise exclusions.

Birmingham airport suspends services due to fault
There are 757 flights scheduled for Saturday, carrying more than 124,000 passengers, an airport spokesman said. On its website, Gatwick said its runway was open and it aimed to run a full schedule over the weekend.

Pant has been included though in the T20I series against the Black Caps, which also has MS Dhoni and Karthik.

"That's the reason Rishabh is a part of T20 squad".

Meanwhile, the selector's left out Dhoni for the series against Windies and T20I series against Australia owing to poor form.

Mumbai Mirror reckons that despite Dhoni's comeback to the squad Pant is guaranteed a place in the squad. The selectors have gone with Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed and Mohammed Shami as the four frontline quicks in the ODI squad, and Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar and Khaleel as a trio for the T20Is. The third test match will commence on December 26. The Boxing Day Test will decide the fate of the Indian team in the ongoing Test series.
