Broncos lose another starter just ahead of critical postseason push

In the span of only four days, just as they faced a critical stretch toward making the playoffs, the Broncos might have lost two of their biggest playmakers on offense and defense.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was helped off the practice field Wednesday after crumpling to the ground on a pass play and grabbing his left ankle.

ESPN's Jeff Legwold and NFL Network's Ian Rapport also reported the news.

Pakistan maintain advantage over Black Caps in topsy-turvy test
Pakistan's advantage came courtesy of the two century-makers, taking them past NZ's first innings total before being separated. Shah was run out in weird fashion when he lost his right shoe while going for the second run with captain Sarfraz Ahmed (25).

"It doesn't look good", said Joseph about the way Sanders went down.

The injury is a torn Achilles, and it will end Sanders' season, an MRI confirmed. Joseph said Sanders had been feeling sore in his "heel area" last week, but was feeling better before practice Wednesday. "Again, it's late in the year, it's the fourth quarter of the season, injuries happen".

Sanders has made a significant impact this season for the Broncos' offense as he has 71 receptions, nearly twice as many as his nearest teammate, for a team-high 868 yards and four touchdowns through 12 games.
