Nationwide internet outage affects CenturyLink

CenturyLink customers have been experiencing outages for most of Thursday.

Residential customers have also tweeted some harsh words, mostly about the lack of updates and customer service from CenturyLink.

Jessica Rosenworcel, a member of the Federal Communications Commission, said via Twitter that this was a "nationwide outage" and her agency needed to investigate.

Officials in Jefferson Co. told 13 NEWS they were receiving reports of outages in the area.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office said their CenturyLink system had crashed, and they were redirecting all 911 and administration lines to the Douglas Police Department.
