Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez explains why she believes Trump is racist

During an interview on CBS that aired Sunday, the NY lawmaker said she's willing to compromise with Republicans on certain issues.

"She is very opinionated, which we like", Ms. Goldberg said.

Goldberg dissected Ocasio-Cortez's 60 Minutes appearance with her fellow co-hosts Meghan McCain, Joy Behar, Abby Huntsman and Sunny Hostin on Monday. We like opinionated women.

In addition to calling for a 70 percent marginal tax rate on the wealthiest Americans, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) will explain during a 60 Minutes interview that will air in full on Sunday evening why she believes Democrats have compromised away "too much" in recent years and have lost track of the party's goal and mission.

Cooper asked Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic Socialist, how she would pay for the trillions of dollars in government programs she supports. And I just want to throw this out to you: John Lewis [of Georgia] wasn't sitting still. "You don't have to know it when you step out, but before you start pooping on people and what they've done, you got to do something too".

Her comment came after an interview broadcast Sunday on "60 Minutes".

Agreeing with a posit by Cooper that the Democratic Party has already "lost too much" by compromising with the GOP on certain things, she explained: "I think we've compromised things that we shouldn't have compromised, whether it's judgeships with Mitch McConnell, whether it's compromising on climate change". "When you look at the words that he uses, which are historic dog whistles of white supremacy, when you look at how he reacted to the Charlottesville incident, where neo-Nazis murdered a woman, versus how he manufactures crises like immigrants seeking legal refuge on our borders, it's night and day", she said.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. EST on ABC.
