The Twilight Zone Revival

The Twilight Zone is scheduled to premiere on April 1, and no that's not an April Fool's Day joke. Following its debut, the new Twilight Zone will roll out one new episode every Thursday starting April 11 on CBS' streaming service. Peele previously confirmed that he would adopt a similar role to serve as the new series' host. And he's is definitely a fan of the classic series, the filmmaker recently revealed that his upcoming doppelgänger horror movie Us was inspired by the iconic Twilight Zone episode "Mirror Image". Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) is on board to star in "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet", a riff on a famous episode from the original series called "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" which starred William Shatner as a man who loses his mind when he thinks he sees a gremlin through the window of an airplane.

Alongside news of the The Twilight Zone's premiere date, we also learned that Stephen King's The Stand is set to become an All Access series, while The Good Fight Season 3 also get a release date. The announcement was made by Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President of Original Content for CBS All Access, at CBS' biannual Television Critics Association presentation. After its original run in the late '50s and early '60s on CBS, the series was brought back for three seasons on the network from 1985 to 1989, before returning for a second revival on UPN in 2002 that was hosted by Forest Whitaker.

Created by Rod Sterling, the original Twilight Zone has always been considered the godfather of sci-fi television; the show explored humanity's hopes, despairs, and prides and prejudices in metaphoric ways. It was a journey into a wondrous land of imagination for five years on CBS, from 1959 to 1964.

A dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity is coming exclusive to CBS All Access this spring.
