Chrissy Teigen Collides with Leslie Jones' Umbrella to Start 2019

Hordes of angry viewers took to Twitter to express their dismay over NBC's coverage as Chrissy Teigen discussed the so-called age-old cleansing remedy in New York City's Times Square, with some labeling the broadcast a "train-wreck", while others demanded apologies. When the ball finally did drop, NBC somehow managed to fail to actually show it.

"NBC this is the worst New Years Show ever!" wrote another, adding "#Fail #NBC #HNY #NYC #CarsonDaly". "What a time to be alive #2019Mood", wrote another Twitter user.

After ringing in the new year on NBC's live coverage, the model went to give cohost Leslie Jones a hug and kiss, but it didn't go as planned. After Teigen brought up vaginal steaming on the show, viewers complained that the subject wasn't appropriate for a telecast many were watching with they're young children. Really?! The host of NYE. vaginal steaming? Too many families watching honey. I hope she's just drunk but I'm nearly positive she's just dumb and obnoxious. "They literally ruin everything they broadcast!" wrote another.

"You should be in prison", Daily then joked.

WFNY Cleveland Browns Coaching Tracker
Cleveland Browns rumors involving the head coaching search haven't been all that tantalizing in recent weeks. He also sidestepped a question about former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy being a candidate.

And in yet another forgettable moment, Teigen's face was crushed by an umbrella after a failed attempt to hug guest Leslie Jones after the clock struck midnight.

Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Diana Ross and Chrissy's hubby John Legend all performed during the special.

"Heading back out to time's square to find my eyeball", Teigen later quipped.

Many donned plastic rain ponchos and sported colorful, oversized top hats handed out by organizers.
