The "New Patek" rapper shocked fans on Friday (January 11) when he announced that he's stepping away from the rap game. "I deleted everything. I wanna be normal ..." Uzi took to his Instagram yesterday to announce his departure from the rap industry, stating "I wanna take the time out to say I think each and every one of my supporters but I'm done with music I deleted everything I wanna be normal, I wanna wake up in 2013".

He added, "Thank you love you" and "You are free".

However, Uzi's apparently not planning to release the project anymore as he claims to be quitting music cold turkey.

CNN Contradicts TV Station Claim That Network Barred Its Pro-Wall Reporting
The Associated Press reported Friday that KUSI had "backed off" its accusation that "CNN played politics". "This is a non-story". As a matter of fact, it's pretty tranquil down here".

A few months back, Uzi's Eternal Atake album was the subject of a possible lawsuit as the cover art was allegedly based on the Heaven's Gate cult.

Uzi also revealed he was "trying to figure out" how to get out of his record deal on the recent song "Shells" with Shabazz PBG. Lil Uzi Vert's been preparing for the album's release throughout 2018. As a signed artist with Atlantic, Uzi quickly rose to fame with his "Luv is Rage" mixtape and subsequent "Lil Uzi Vert vs".

His first studio album Luv Is Rage 2 was released in 2017, and spawned the hit single XO Tour Llif3, which peaked at number 7 on the Billboard charts. Other popular musicians, like Jay-Z and Justin Bieber, have made sudden claims about not making music, only to return soon.
