Persona 5 R Announced, More Information Later In March 2019

Atlus is known for giving its Persona franchise the enhanced treatment, releasing Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Golden with new content on top of the respective base games.

It turns out the rumored Persona 5 R is real, but it may not be everything you hoped for...

The teaser depicts Persona 5's Shibuya district in Tokyo, with four displays projecting the Phantom Thieves' "Take Your Heart" Logo.

With a staggering 38 different time zones in use, it takes 26 hours for the New Year to be brought in around the globe. Millions of spectators gathered to watch the dropping of shimmering New Year's Eve ball amid steady rain.

The trailer does state "New projects" on some billboards; however, what that means is still up in the air. But now Atlus has officially revealed a Teaser of the most popular upcoming RPG Persona 5 R. This teaser is of about 30 seconds with no such specific details about the release date of Persona 5 R. "Ultimate" in a DLC pack. Visiting the website shows a Persona 5 style website with a banner stating "NEXT INFORMATION 2019.3" at the top.

Atlus has also created a number of "Persona" spinoffs over the years, such as the fighting game "Persona 4 Arena" and a series of rhythm titles. Persona 3 and 4 both got this treatment, giving fans the superlative versions of both games. With Joker in Smash, however, we'll have to wait until March 2019 to know for sure where the game will end up.

There isn't any official announcement about the platform on which Persona 5 R is going to be released.
