With Kevin Hart stepping down from hosting duties of The Oscars ceremony in February, the event is now host-less.

Could The Avengers be re-assembling to save The Oscars?

The group that puts on the Oscars has evidently settled on not having a single host this year; instead, the broadcast will feature a line-up of celebrities in different segments rather than being anchored around one person, as first reported by Variety and then by The Hollywood Reporter.

After the release of 2012's Avengers, numerous cast members joined the 2013 Academy Awards telecast together on stage, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson. Sadly, Scarlett Johansson was not in attendance that night. But the Academy is hoping that this time the number of Avengers present on stage will be much bigger. And let's not forget Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Plus, Brie Larson will make her MCU debut as Captain Marvel in March, so this could be the flawless time to promote the new Marvel movie.

Dr Channa Jayasena, of Imperial College London, added: 'We know that HRT has important benefits to alleviate menopausal symptoms. HRT is used to prevent a range of symptoms experienced by many women during the menopause, such as hot flushes and night sweats.

The Oscars do air on ABC this year, which is owned by Disney, the parent company of Marvel Studios, so it seems likely the Avengers will be in attendance.

"I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year's Oscar's.this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many incredible talented artists", he wrote on Twitter.

The 91st Oscars will air on February 24, 2019, and is being produced by Donna Gigliotti and co-produced and directed by Glenn Weiss.
