Alfa Romeo "pushing to start the season" after Raikkonen's first track day

And what the "new" outfit (still owned by Sauber, by the way, despite the Alfa Romeo Racing tag) came up with was a Valentine's Day livery for the first display of their 2019 vehicle, which occurred on...

The former Sauber team are yet to officially launch the vehicle but Raikkonen was in the cockpit as they got some laps under their belts at Fiorano in Italy in an interim colour scheme featuring hearts.

And, to mark the day the vehicle made its track debut, the black and red livery featured images of hearts alongside the famous Alfa Romeo cloverleaf logo.

Cape Town - Kimi Raikkonen says he finds the more relaxed atmosphere at Alfa Romeo much more to his liking than all the "politics and bull****" he experienced at Ferrari.

"We had a good session on track", said Raikkonen.

A small crowd gathered on a nearby overpass to get a preview of the 2019 F1 season, with the black and red Alfa Romeo completing a series of short runs between pit stops. We will work on the last few details and head to Barcelona for two weeks of testing. "And now I have no idea (about) reasons and (it's) not my business to know either and to get involved".

Defending champ Croatia to face Spain in new Davis Cup
Last year's Davis Cup semifinalists - Croatia, France, Spain and the USA - were already given spots in the finals. The event will take place between 18-24 November with matches consisting of two singles and one doubles rubber.

Although Sauber still own the team, their name has been dropped and will not appear on the grid for the first time since 1992.

"The whole team is pushing to start the season with the best possible base". I said "no" because we were in Finland, and not interested to see any news.

"I think the team worked well a year ago, the evolution was very high, from the first GP in Australia to the last Abu Dhabi we went to fight for the last place to fight for the third or fourth".

"We had a very high evolution in the last races of last season, so we are hoping to start from there", he told Sky Italia.

"It was a positive day for us at Fiorano".

Eight of the ten teams have revealed their new cars.
