NFL Patrick Mahomes vows ‘next year I’ll be in the Super Bowl’ By Jesse Reed

"Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes led the National Football League with 50 touchdown passes and joined Peyton Manning (55 touchdown passes in 2013) and Tom Brady (50 in 2007) as the only quarterbacks with at least 50 touchdown passes in a single season in National Football League history". While the Chiefs came just short of making it to the Super Bowl, Mahomes earned the highest individual honor a player can receive.

The Chiefs quarterback put up staggering numbers this season in leading the Chiefs to a 12-4 mark and an appearance in the AFC championship game. Kansas City has some holes, especially on defense, that they'll need to fill if they want to get back in the same position they were in this year.

The Texas Tech product threw for 5,097 yards and a league-best 50 touchdowns in 2018.

Bettor Places $1.5 Million Wager on Rams to Win Super Bowl
Another bettor went big on the Rams entering Super Bowl LIII , placing a $300,000 moneyline wager on Los Angeles with South Point. Louis and not a threat to overtake the Seahawks in the NFC West, the Rams gave Seattle trouble.

Mahomes also became the first NFL MVP drafted by the Chiefs, and the first NFL MVP for Andy Reid while he has been a head coach.

Mahomes is the sixth-straight quarterback to be named MVP.

The 23-year-old is the youngest player to win the award in the Super Bowl era.
