Danai Gurira Announces The Walking Daed Exit

Fans of The Walking Dead have long feared that Danai Gurira would one day exit The Walking Dead after she matched starring in the biggest series on cable television with starring in the biggest movie at the box office a year ago, Black Panther.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, which broke the news of Gurira's exit, she will return for The Walking Dead's recently announced 10th season, but will only appear in a handful of episodes interspersed throughout the run.

She'll then likely appear in the three planned films with Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes, who left the show -- but wasn't killed off - back in November.

The Walking Dead is losing another one of its heroes.

People were hoping that Michonne would take the reins as the show's lead after Andrew's departure.

A dedicated public emergency telephone number to report rape and sexual violence would also be created, Bio said. Mr Bio said attacks on minors - which account for a third of all cases - would be punished with a life sentence.

Are you surprised to hear Gurira could be leaving the show?

TooFab reached out to AMC, but the network had no comment. We love Danai. We love that character.

AMC programming president, David Madden, made it very clear that they wanted the actress to stay on the programme. "We really want her to stay".

"The goal is to have Danai continue on whatever basis she can make work, given the other things that she has going on in her life".

Introduced in Season 2 of The Walking Dead, Michonne, known for her badass sword and dreads, proved to be an invaluable ally to Rick and his band of surviving humans.
