At the 27th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party (which ended up raising $6.3 million to end AIDS), Egerton was brought up on the stage for an impromptu performance.

Egerton may have been warming up his vocal chords for his upcoming role as Elton himself in the biopic Rocketman, about the singer. During the auction part of the evening, one of the prizes up for bidding was a trip to London to see Rocketman.

Heidi Klum slayed in a sheer black dress while attending Elton John's annual Oscars Party on February 24 and we're in awe of her look!

John played the iconic piano melodies of the song, while Egerton sang the lyrics.

Taron Egerton showed that not only can he act, but he's a ridiculously good singer too as he took to the stage with Elton John in an fantastic Oscars performance at the music legend's annual bash. Not only do they involve even more big names - the Kodak Theater can only fit so many stars - the ones that you watched all night get comfortable (sometimes looking even better than they did during the ceremony) and get down.

The film will focus on Elton John's beginnings, starting when he was a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music and carrying over to when he reached global stardom through his influential and enduring musical partnership with his songwriting collaborator Bernie Taupin.

Rocketman is set for release on 24 May 2019.
