Tonight, Netflix surprised everyone at the Oscars by dropping the first teaser trailer for Martin Scorsese's forthcoming crime drama, The Irishman. Before one gets too excited, however, there's no footage but we do hear a familiar voice and Netflix also confirms a theatrical release this fall.

The story centers on Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran, who recounts his career as a hit man for Jimmy Hoffa and claims to know the truth behind the notorious mobster's disappearance.

Given that it features digital de-aged versions of stars including De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, it's perhaps not all that shocking that there's not much of the film to see yet.

Though details on the film are still pretty hush, the film's an adaptation of I Heard You Paint Houses, a book which takes a look at the story of Frank Sheeran, a mobster who had been rumored to be apart of the assassinations of both President John F. Kennedy and Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Jimmy Hoffa.
