Niantic, the company behind Pokemon GO, has just announced it will release a new feature meant to breath new life into its game - photo mode.

The new feature can be utilized by navigating to either a specific Pokemon in your storage or accessing the camera through the bag. You can see samples of the kinds of screenshots you can take below; more details about the feature are available on the official Pokemon Go website. Pokemon and reality are getting increasingly closer to each other!

Furthermore, once your Pokemon is in the desired location, you can move around it in order to get that ideal angle. There'll also be some degree of interactivity with your Pokemon, as swiping across it will get its attention and cause it to look directly at the camera. After all, who wouldn't want to share their photos of their Pokemon to social media?

NYPD detective shot and killed while responding to armed robbery
Simonsen, whose 19th anniversary with the department was coming up in March, leaves behind a wife and two children. The union that represents uniformed officers posted online that a detective died and a sergeant was hurt.

Consequently, there is no release date set.

Still, when it is live, we'll all be able to become Pokemon photographers, and with no sequel to the much-loved Pokemon Snap in sight after all these years, we're sure some people are going to love to dig into this feature.
