Harry Kane could face Burnley after ankle injury

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier has hailed their ability to grind out results in recent weeks as they continue to juggle domestic and European commitments without his fellow England internationals Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

The England skipper is ahead of schedule in his comeback providing a timely boost to Mauricio Pochettino who has had to make do without Kane since he was injured during the defeat to Manchester United on January 13.

According to Sky Sports, the striker has now returned to full training following a week in the Caribbean at the end of January to help aid his recovery.

It was initially thought he would not be fit to train until early March.

However, it hasn't all gone to plan with the north London club also being eliminated from both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup with Kane unable to play.

Kane has scored 14 goals in 22 Premier League games this season, with a further four more in the Champions League.

Spurs, now third in the league five points behind the pacesetters Liverpool with 12 games left, next visit 15th-placed Burnley on February 23.

However, he is back in training and is in contention to play against Burnley in the Premier League this weekend.

But despite his significant absence over recent weeks, the England global still remains in the hunt for the Premier League's Golden Boot this season.

Son has now scored 16 goals in all competitions - 11 in his last 12 matches - and Spurs have won whenever the forward has found the net this season.
