India batsman Ambati Rayudu said on Sunday that the second-ranked ODI team has never had an issue with setting targets in limited-overs cricket.

An all-round show from Indian bowlers - Mohammed Shami (2 wickets), Pandya (2 wickets) and Yuzvendra Chahal (3 wickets) - meant that India were in control right till the end. "It's one of those things - it's a shame, he was going so nicely and there was that hope - that partnership between him and [Mitch] Santner, who we know can bat beautifully, and probably most of their dismissals were perhaps both on the unlucky side, but that's the nature of it - once again India were able to put us under a bit of pressure".

Hardik Pandya provided late fireworks for India with 45 off 22 deliveries, while Henry finished with four for 35.

"Don't think setting totals has ever been an issue". That was a one-off game in Hamilton. Might face similar challenges in future.

AFC North watch: Bengals hiring Zac Taylor as new head coach
I am looking to add to that history by setting high standards, and holding everyone here accountable to those standards. Neither that nor any other move is likely to be announced until things are official with Taylor.

But when the swing bowlers were taken out of the equation, Rayudu and Vijay Shankar toyed with the attack as New Zealand used another five bowlers in a fruitless search for a wicket.

When India fruitlessly appealed for a leg before decision, Neesham stepped out of his crease in search of a possible leg bye, unaware the ball had been picked up by wicketkeeper MS Dhoni who had an easy shot at the stumps. Stand-in captain Rohit Sharma even insisted that India would have opted to chase if the series were on the line but the dead-rubber was an opportunity to test themselves. The knock made Rayudu the top run-getter in the New Zealand ODI series - 190 runs at an average of 63.33.

"Unfortunately Martin hasn't recovered in time for this T20 series - which is very condensed with three games over five days", Stead was quoted as saying by New Zealand news website Stuff.
