Following Kavanaugh's confirmation, Archila issued a statement, in which she wrote, "Earlier this week, I shared my survivor story for the first time in front of Senator Jeff Flake's office, and I know that I am not alone".

Archila also said that she has "never felt so proud of voting for someone as when I voted for Alexandria".
