Mourinho tumbles at ice hockey game

Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has paid a surprise visit to Balashikha (Moscow region) to attend a hockey game between two KHL teams, triggering much speculation about the reason for his sudden arrival.

Yet even in Siberia the Portuguese can't seem to stay out of the headlines as he suffered an embarrassing slip after dropping the puck at the start of the ice hockey game for the face-off.

Jose Mourinho may have hoped the slip-ups were behind him after leaving Old Trafford - but he's suffered an unfortunate tumble at an ice hockey game in Russian Federation.

Mourinho was eventually helped to his feet by SKA captain Pavel Datsyuk and Omsk captain Evgeny Medvedev made sure the coach didn't forget to take the puck with him as a souvenir.

The Los Angeles Police Department also confirmed they responded to a call to a home in the San Fernando Valley at 2:05 pm. He also did episodic work on shows including The Cosby Show , A Different World and Laverne & Shirley.

In fairness to Mourinho, he dusted himself down, got straight back up and quickly rediscovered his composure before returning to the sidelines.

The 56-year-old has been without a club since December when United fired him for poor results. You do some promotional work at an ice hockey tournament of course.

United have not lost since Mourinho's dismissal, with caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer overseeing nine wins and draw once over that 10-game span.
