Besides hearing London natives Loud Luxury's "Body" a little too much for my liking, there were a few pleasant surprises like Toronto band Dizzy getting well-deserved nods for Breakthrough Group of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year for Baby Teeth.

According to the Canadian music awards, the 12x Juno victor will host the 2019 show, which is scheduled for Sunday, March 17.

Megan Nash picked up her first Juno nomination, with her album Seeker. Notably missing from the awards was Canadian rapper Drake who wasn't nominated. His last album to be submitted, VIEWS, was nominated for five awards in 2017, but Drake only went home with an honourary International Achievement Award that year. The group is also nominated for "Rock Album of the Year" with their latest release, Changing Colours.

Considered one of Canada's biggest nights for music, the show at London's Budweiser Stage will include performances by Toronto DJ duo Loud Luxury, who rose to prominence a year ago with their worldwide dance hit "Body" and are up for four awards. Drizzy has claimed Best Rap Recording four times, though he's always been shut out in major categories like Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and Album of the Year.

Special honourees include Corey Hart, the 1980s pop heartthrob known for his hits "Sunglasses at Night" and "Never Surrender".
