Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers (Brie Larson, Room) as she becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Oscar victor Brie Larson takes the charge in the highly anticipated movie, playing USA fighter pilot Carol Danvers as she becomes a powerful superhero. The film is set in the Nineties and serves as a backstory to the present-day events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But I think that's a really tight-knit bond that they have, and they're family.

"Captain Marvel", a prequel to the "Avengers" films made by Walt Disney Co's Marvel Studios, tells a story of self-discovery, but also touches on a female friendship.

They learned about the Stay Onside initiative, which works with criminal justice agencies in a bid to reduce offending rates. The royal couple capped off a busy day that saw them perform soccer drills, canoe races and other outdoor activities.

What they've gone through together - going through military training, being the only women there, and then using each other to lean on each other for that support and a recognition of their experience is really special.

The film begins its worldwide cinema rollout next week, some four months after the death of comic book superhero creator Stan Lee, who also appeared in Marvel films in cameo roles. Of course, I think they would have been friends outside of that experience.

Without being too showboating about it, this is the love of the movie.
