With Real Madrid still in the market for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, reports have emerged indicating that the LaLiga giants could swoop for a Manchester United star in a staggering £100 million (R1.7 billion) deal.

The Sun report that Madrid are willing to offer €115 million to the Red Devils to sign Marcus Rashford.

The 21-year-old was then open to a possible move overseas as he grew unhappy under the regime of Jose Mourinho.

It is claimed in the same story that Real Madrid contacted Rashford's camp late a year ago to sound out the possibility of a move to the Bernabeu.

He was not getting a chance in his favored striking role through the middle and was ready to consider the option of a move overseas.

If you were Rashford, would you leave United in favour of a move to Real?

Astros sign Miley to one-year deal
Miley spent last season with the Milwaukee Brewers , going 5-2 with an earned-run average of 2.57 over 16 starts. He missed the first five weeks of 2018 with a groin injury, and another two months with an oblique strain.

His mood is now said to have changed under Manchester United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but Real Madrid still believe they can convince the Red Devils with impressive offer.

Rashford's current deal earns him £60,000 a week and lasts until the end of next season with an option for the club to extend it by a further year.

Real, who have been below par by their standards thus far in this campaign, are said to still be keen to bolster their squad, particularly in attack, where the void left by Ronaldo's move to Serie A giants Juventus still remains.

The future of the England worldwide is uncertain at Old Trafford with clubs like Real Madrid and AC Milan also monitoring the youngster.

The England global has been in sizzling form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, scoring five Premier League goals in his last seven appearances, and appears to have won the main striker role from Romelu Lukaku.
