Julia Louis Dreyfus Saddles Up One Last Time In The Trailer For ‘Veep’ S7

Louis Dreyfus' Selina Meyer and her team try to find their way back to the highest political office in the U.S. one last time.

Veep's final season was originally delayed so that Louis-Dreyfus could undergo breast cancer treatments, but now the final season is set to debut this spring.

We're still a year away from the craziest part of the actual presidential election campaign, but leave it to Selina Meyer to kick things off as only she can. Even though her stalwart assistant Gary (Tony Hale) is in tow as usual, she'll face the unlikeliest of foes, as Jonah Ryan (Timothy Simons) stands opposite her in the race.

Experts Concerned ‘Zombie Deer’ Disease Could Spread To Humans
The fatal disease degrades the brains, spines and bodies of the animals it infects, and there are no known treatments or vaccines. When asked the chances of humans becoming infected with CWD, Osterhold compared it to a 'throw at the genetic roulette table'.

But there are enough nods here and there to the real world that make it clear the Veep writer's room isn't entirely located under a rock: "I took a dump on the glass ceiling", Selina joyfully proclaims in the trailer, presumably reading from cast-offs of Hillary Clinton's planned Inauguration speech. And if you thought she could get through a campaign without swearing, ridiculing her staff or insulting most of the American people, you'd be very, very wrong. "No", she tells hi. "We can't use any of it". Now, nearly two years later, the series will return for its seventh and final season starting March 31st. The ensemble cast also includes two-time Emmy victor Tony Hale, Emmy nominee Anna Chlumsky, Emmy nominee Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Kevin Dunn, Emmy nominee Gary Cole and Sam Richardson.

Veep returns for its final season on HBO on March 31, 2019.
