But don't get too comfortable: the weather service warned that cold weather would return Wednesday evening, creating the potential for icing during the overnight hours. More soaking rain showers are likely Thursday before temperatures fall back to closer-to-normal cool February highs this weekend.

Snow or freezing rain will spread over Northeastern Ontario early Monday and persist into Monday night. With the temperature hovering steady around 4 C, it'll be warm for the season, and the fog should mostly dissipate by noon. Daytime highs will be near -7°C.
