Chelsea FC have placed a £43m price tag on Callum Hudson-Odoi ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in Germany.

Hudson-Odoi's current contract with Chelsea is expected to run until July 2020.

The 18-year-old has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is itching to leave after failing to break into Maurizio Sarri's starting XI.

The 18-year-old made his senior bow for the Three Lions as a substitute in last Friday's 5-0 win over Czech Republic, before earning his first start in the 5-1 away win against Montenegro on Monday.

Hudson-Odoi has featured 21 times for club and country this season and has become a full England global, having come on as a substitute against Czech Republic and then started against Montenegro in Euro 2020 qualifying.

The warring sides agreed to a ceasefire and troop withdrawal in December, in the western city of Hodeidah. After four years, the end to the civil war is still nowhere in sight.

And neither side has changed their stance since then.

Sportsmail reported earlier this week that Hudson-Odoi still wants to depart Stamford Bridge in the summer due to his frustration at a lack of first-team action.

While he has made 19 appearances this season, only six are in the Premier League and all have come from the bench.

The winger was a transfer target for Bayern Munich in January, but the Bundesliga winners were unable to land him in the winter market.

"It is no longer a question of if but when with regards to his impact for Chelsea in the Premier League".
