Dr. Jim Raman Dies: ‘Amazing Race’ Contestant Was 42 Years Old

In 2014, SC orthodontist Dr. Jim Raman and his wife Misti were the runners up in season 25 of the hit CBS series The but sadly this week, Raman died at his home at the age of 42.

Lexington County Sheriff's Department Capt. Adam Myrick gave TheWrap this statement Tuesday, regarding Raman's death: "Deputies started a death investigation after responding to a Lakefront Court home about 4:30 Tuesday morning".

Jim Raman died Monday, according to his obituary on Dignity Memorial's website.

It was not immediately clear how Raman died but Myrick told USA Today that police were not "seeking any suspects or persons of interest as our work on this case continues".

While the investigation into Jim's death is ongoing, police say they are not now seeking any suspects or persons of interest.

Trump Likely To Veto US Lawmakers' Measure Against Border Wall
After many had spoken, Trump dramatically signed his veto message and then held the document up for the cameras to capture. The emergency declaration is being challenged in court as an unconstitutional usurpation of Congress' power of the purse.

After the show, the couple returned to their home in Irmo, S.C., and continued working at their dental office, Irmo Smiles.

"Irmo Smiles has suffered a tragic loss this week", the statement reads".

At the time of this writing, no one has been arrested, charged or taken in for questioning in relation to Dr. Jim Raman's death. As our staff and the family prepare for Dr. Raman's celebration of life, please join us in praying for peace and comfort during this hard time, the letter said, according to the TV station.

Raman's funeral service is scheduled to be held on Saturday in Lexington.

He wrote a "Letter to the Editor" to The State in 2018 about his autistic son.
