The Giants are set to lose strong safety Landon Collins to Washington on a six-year deal that was reached Monday.

NY has agreed to a two-year deal with veteran safety Antoine Bethea, according to multiple reports.

Entering his 14th National Football League season, Bethea did start all 16 games for the Cardinals in 2018, but he is certainly at an advanced age for a defensive back.

He turns 35 in July and played in Arizona in 2017 for James Bettcher, now the Giants' defensive coordinator.

Bethea can play both strong and free safety, and his durability is impressive.

Former Arizona Cardinals safety Antoine Beathea, whom the team released on Friday, is expected to sign with the New York Giants, as reported Tuesday by former Colts receiver Reggie Wayne and confirmed by SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.

Bethea, who has been a mostly durable player-he missed one game during his two year stint with the Cardinals; 9 games during his time with the 49ers and 7 games with the Colts-has 1,224 career tackles, including 121 recorded last year with Arizona. He went seven consecutive seasons without missing a start. He would remain in Indy for eight years before joining the San Francisco 49ers in 2014.

The 34-year-old has had an illustrious career as a safety and defensive back, moving around the field to play coverage and box. Bethea will likely compete for a starting job on a Giants defense in need of help in many areas.
