Gmail appears to be down in an apparent worldwide outage

Some people in Australia reported that the outages were a good excuse for not working through the afternoon.

An outage is affecting Gmail and Google Drive users around the world. From our observations, it appears that the disruption is affecting users in Malaysia as well but not all users are affected.

The company says it is investigating the issue and will provide an update soon. "The affected users are able to access Gmail, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behaviour". "Check your network and try again".

Although the service still appears to be up for many users, the outage is widespread. People are also experiencing issues with Google Drive and Google Maps.

We have all heard recent rumors saying that Microsoft's Halo Infinite is going to skip Xbox One as one of the next-gen titles. If a game looks like it will release in 2020, should we expect it to be pushed to more powerful consoles?

They came from United States, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada and 55 more countries.

There's now no word on what's causing the issue or how long it might take to resolve.

Hopefully, Google will quickly solve this issue. Some may even look at this outage as a surprise break in the work day.

Google hasn't released an official statement yet but is responding to individual users on social media.
