Former Penn State safety Adrian Amos is signing with the Green Bay Packers

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers #12 of the Green Bay Packers is sacked for a safety by defensive end Preston Smith #94 of the Washington Redskins in the first quarter during the NFC Wild Card Playoff game at FedExField on January 10, 2016 in Landover, Maryland.

In 2018, Smith had a career-high 8.5 sacks, including three against the Tennessee Titans. But given the contracts being handed out early in the NFL's legal tampering period, it's likely to be a gaudy deal for a player who has produced for only one season.

Two of the biggest signings this off season is expected to be Nick Foles to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders.

"Amos is an excellent safety who's been great for Chicago over the past couple of seasons", The Ringer's Robert Mays writes.

As for Amos, Green Bay's safety spots just got instantly better. He's never missed a game in four years in the league and should help a teams that was 22nd against the run and forced only 15 turnovers this past season.

Amos registered 73 tackles, nine pass breakups, two interceptions, two tackles for losses and one fumble recovery in 2018.
